Readers and Writers: What I am still reading

Readers and Writers: What I am still reading

What I am still reading

I am still reading Romeo and Juliet but I decided to read the modern version. I am also reading The Girl Who Played With Fire. I read the first book the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo several months ago. It was a long book but a great read. It did not disappoint as a mystery.

Have I mentioned that the mysteries by Walter Mosley are among my favorite? I have read all three mysteries featuring his new sleuth Leonid McGill and I look forward to a new one.

In addition, I anxiously await a new book by Eric Jerome Dickey in his series featuring Gideon. I was on another blog and the question at hand was who would be a good actor to play Gideon in a movie. I vote for Idris Elba.

Happy Reading,

What I am reading and what I want to start reading

It is getting late and I am tired but I have to read a few pages of The Name of the Wind before I go to sleep.

I am also going to start reading Alice in Wonderland to my six-year-old daughter. I have it on my Kindle. I never read the book when I was young, but my daughter's love for the old animation and the new movie with Johnny Depp prompted me to want to read the novel to her. I hope she develops a love for literature.

Okay if I stop blogging and go to bed, there will be time to read before I am too exhausted.

What are you reading?

I am currently reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I have not got very far in the book so I cannot make any comments. Fantasy is a new genre for me. Next I am going to read the first book in the Outlander series.

If you have read the Name of the Wind, please let me know your thoughts.
